This policy describes how GENUINE SC LLC, operating as Genuine SC, handles information collected through wlecapital.com and its newsletter and optional SMS program.

Information you provide

The form collects your email address, optional first name, news interest, required newsletter consent, agreement to the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, and confirmation that you are at least 18. A U.S. mobile number is collected only if you separately choose optional SMS consent. We record each consent separately with its wording and version, the submission date, source, and the email and SMS request statuses.

How we use information

We use this information to record your subscription request, manage consent and opt-outs, respond to support requests, and operate the newsletter and occasional promotional email program, and provide optional marketing texts with news alerts, new article notifications, and promotions of Genuine SC content. Your selected interests help tailor these updates. Email and SMS delivery are not currently active. A saved request does not mean a message has been sent. Based on your chosen interests, SMS updates may include information about fundraising efforts by political parties or candidates. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, donation, or access to this website.

SMS sending hours

We send program marketing text messages only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the recipient’s local time zone. Messages scheduled outside this window are deferred until the next permitted sending window. Where applicable law requires a narrower window, we follow that restriction. These sending hours apply when SMS delivery becomes active.

Mobile information and sharing

Mobile opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell mobile numbers or political news interests. Email consent does not enroll you in SMS or authorize another organization’s marketing.

Website technology

The hosting service may process standard technical information, including IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and secure the website. This website does not include advertising trackers or third-party marketing analytics. Article access does not depend on a subscription or access cookie. We no longer issue article-access cookies; any cookie from the previous version is unused and expires automatically. Essential hosting or access-control cookies may also be used by the hosting service.

Do Not Sell or Share and GPC

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) as an opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising. You can also save a browser-specific opt-out without providing personal details on our Do Not Sell or Share page. An essential first-party cookie stores this choice for up to one year; it contains no unique identifier. It is not automatically linked to your subscription or synchronized across devices. Blocking or clearing cookies may prevent persistence, but an active GPC signal is still honored whenever sent.

Depending on your residency, applicable law, and its scope and exceptions, you may exercise the following rights:

Submitting a request and response times

Email support@wlecapital.com with a description of your request and enough information to locate the relevant record. No account is required. We may reasonably verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority before disclosing or changing personal records. Browser opt-outs and GPC do not require identity verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

We respond to access, correction, and deletion requests without undue delay and within 45 calendar days after receipt. Where applicable law permits and an extension is reasonably necessary, we may extend this period once by up to 45 additional days; we will explain the reason and notify you within the initial 45 days. Shorter legal deadlines take priority. This response period does not delay GPC recognition or extend the SMS revocation deadline described below.

Appealing a decision

If we decline a request, we explain our reasons and how to appeal. To appeal, email support@wlecapital.com and identify the decision you want reviewed. We provide a written decision and explanation within 45 calendar days after receiving your appeal. If an appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs or the regulator responsible for privacy rights where you live.

Opt-out and Global Privacy Control

Use our Do Not Sell or Share page or enable GPC in your browser. We honor an active GPC signal as an opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising without requiring confirmation. The browser-specific limits described above apply. For a request concerning a subscription record, contact us at the email address above. Email or SMS consent does not override GPC.

Retention and security

We retain consent records, including the consent wording, version, source, and timestamp, for at least 4 years from the date consent is recorded. We retain opt-out requests and suppression records for up to 10 years from the date of the opt-out to honor your choice and prevent unwanted re-enrollment or messaging.

Suppression records are limited to the information needed to recognize and honor an opt-out. They are not used to send marketing messages. We may retain these limited records after a deletion request to continue honoring your opt-out. These record-retention periods are separate from the browser privacy-preference cookie, which lasts up to one year as described above.

We restrict access to records and use HTTPS in the hosted site. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Your choices and revoking consent

You may revoke messaging consent or withdraw a pending subscription request at any time by any reasonable method that clearly communicates your wish to stop messages. Examples include replying STOP or another clear opt-out request to a text once SMS delivery is active, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting support@wlecapital.com. These methods are not exclusive, and no specific wording is required.

We honor revocation requests as soon as practicable within the period required by applicable law. SMS consent revocation will be processed within a reasonable time, no later than 10 business days after receipt, or sooner if applicable law requires. A withdrawn pending request will not be activated. You may request cancellation of email, SMS, or both; we honor the scope of your request. Withdrawing consent does not affect access to this website.

For access, correction, or deletion requests, contact support@wlecapital.com. We may need to verify your authority over an email address or number before disclosing or changing personal information; this is not a requirement for an ordinary messaging opt-out. We retain limited suppression records as described above to honor your choice.

Children and location

Subscriptions are for adults age 18 and older. The optional SMS program is for U.S. residents using an authorized U.S. mobile number. Please do not submit a number if you are under 18 or are not authorized to use it.
